Description
THE ZIN Zinfandel Lodi
The first harvest and debut vintage of Cosentino Winery was in 1980, with our inaugural wine release in 1981. For over 40 years we have approached winemaking with the same goal, to produce high quality wines for everyday wine drinkers and seasoned aficionados alike.
Winemaker Notes
It was a long, cool season from beginning to end, bringing natural acidity and purer fruit expression. This allowed the fruit to hand on the vine longer and to come to a full ripeness through natural maturation process. Composed of 99% Zinfandel, with 1/2% each of Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot.
Tasting Notes
THE ZIN open with aromas of dark red fruit, boysenberry and baking spice with a velvety mouthfeel and balanced acidity. Bold notes of raspberry and clove follow flavors of cranberry on the palate. These flavors mingle into a long, lingering finish. THE ZIN Zinfandel goes great with grilled pork chops and pasta dishes.
