Spiropoulos Red Stag uses 100 % Agiorgitiko grapes that are native to Greece. The wine ages in French oak barrels for at least 12 months. Red Stag has a deep ruby red color with hints of cherry, ripe red fruits and vanilla flavors on the palate.
Agiorgitiko is nicknamed the “Blood of Hercules” because of the legend that after the Greek hero slayed the Nemean lion, it was the local Nemean wine made from Agiorgitiko grapes that he consumed.
