Description
Santi Solane Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore
The grapes for this wine come from selected parcels on the hills in the Valpolicella area, mostly in the Negrar, Marano and San Pietro valleys. The bunches are hand picked, put into crates and immediately taken to the wine cellar where different batches of grapes are vinified separately.
A part of these wines undergo a second fermentation on partially dried whole grapes (Ripasso) thus enriching the win with elegant fruity aromas and velvety tannins. After blending, the wine matures for 6 months in Tonneeaux, then in barrels, mostly European oak and a small part in cherry wood for.
The color is a deep, vibrant red with intense aromas of red berries, sweet spice and vanilla. The intense palate is balanced with elegant spice and fruit. A wine with personality thanks to the elegance and finesse of the aromatic profile, the richness of flavor and the persistent mouth.
