Description
Eola Hills Pinot Noir
Eola Hills Wine Cellars is locally owned and operated and is one of Oregon’s largest wineries, farming over 325 acres of prime vineyard land. Production now surpasses 80,000 cases of fine wines that are enjoyed across the country and internationally. Our goal is to make wines that we feel capture the spirit and flavors of Oregon – we hope you enjoy them.
From the winery’s classic series, this offers a well-constructed albeit liquorous Willamette Valley Pinot Noir at a value price. By liquorous I mean it has a bourbon-barrel character, though there is no indication that such barrels were used. The wild red fruits are entangled in forest floor flavors, adding weight and earthy character to the tannins
Eola Hills Pinot Noir features a traditional ruby color. Aromas of red fruit and hints of forest floor. on the nose. On the palate, this wine showcases a perfect harmony of juicy raspberry and cranberry notes are backed by a touch of pomegranate. Smooth tannins provide structure and finesse without overpowering the fruit, while a well-integrated oak profile imparts hints of vanilla and clove. The finish is smooth and complex.
