Description
Caramella Romagna Cagnina Dolce DOC
Emilia-Romagna runs across the top of the Italian peninsula, south of the Po River, from the Adriatic Sea almost to the west coast. Its capital and largest city is Bologna. It combines two historical areas: Emilia to the west, and Romagna on the coast to the east. Tourists know Emilia-Romagna as a food mecca, including the cities of Bologna, Modena, Reggio Emilia, and Parma.
In the wine world, Emilia-Romagna is best known for the once wildly popular fizzy red wines made from Lambrusco, which are making a comeback.
WINEMAKING
Caramella Romagna Cagnina Dolce grows their grapes in the hills of Cesena in the region of Emilia Romagna. The grapes spend eight days of maceration in stainless steel tanks. They then fine the wine in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for 1 month.
Caramella Romagna Cagnina Dolce features a brilliant ruby color. Rich and sweet red fruit aromas. The palate showcases ripe fruit notes of pomegranate and sweet raspberry. The finish is incredibly smooth and sweet without feeling artificial. Caramella pairs beautifully with pastries and biscuits.
