El Tesoro is crafted at La Atteña Distillery, founded by Don Felipe Camarena, in 1937. The tequila is made there almost exactly as he did then, and for the very same reasons: to pay tribute to the fields of agave, and to make a spirit worth sipping.

At La Atteña, tradition matters. Agaves are cooked in old-fashioned ovens, crushed with a volcanic tahona wheel, and double-distilled to proof, without any additives. That’s why it retains the rich, smokey essence of agave, and why, in the Blanco spirit, hints of herbs and a touch of sweetness swirl through the spirit.
