Description
Larceny Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
John E. Fitzgerald’s weakness was fine bourbon. As a treasury agent, who at the time was the only person legally allowed to carry keys to the rickhouses, he gave in to temptation, freely taking from the best barrels in each rickhouse. Those that contained heated Bourbon eventually became known around the distillery as “Fitzgerald barrels.” Now, Larceny Bourbon honors both the superb taste of this lawless treasury agent and the legacy of the Old Fitzgerald brand.
Larceny was hand selected by our Master Distillers to have a taste profile of a six-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Made with wheat as the secondary grain, instead of the traditional rye, Larceny is a smoother tasting Bourbon.
Larceny Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey features a bright copper color with aromas of fresh bread, toffee and notes of butterscotch. The palate boasts buttery caramel and honeyed notes with a rich mouthfeel. The finish is long, gently sweet and savory.
