Description
Dürnberg Falko White Blend
The Dürnberg winery is located in the traditional wine town of Falkenstein, the historic heart of the Weinviertel. Since the 12th century, viticulture is documented here, and between the 13th century, and between the 13th century and the 17th. In the 19th century, the viticulture affairs between Vienna and Brno were regulated by the Falkenstein Berggericht. At this focal point of the old and new wine culture, a wine of unmistakable aromatics and deep spice springs.
The cool characteristics of the wines are the result of an extraordinary terroir. On the lime-rich soils and thanks to a favorable microclimate, the grapes reach an ideal maturity. This creates wines with fine aromatics, pronounced fruit and vital acidity.
Care and gentle management of our vineyards are very important to us. With targeted greening, we promote the humus build-up, the soil life and the looseness of the soils. We also have weeds to grow and only very rarely do you find the vineyards “open”, i.e. with ungreen soil. In this way we prevent erosion and soil compaction and promote the fauna of the small organisms.
The ground is alive! In all measures in the vineyard, the sustainable use of natural resources is in the foreground. We know about the peculiarities of our vineyards, and the rules for our eco-management are therefore also created by ourselves. For this purpose, we only use aids that are approved for “controlled integrated production”. Through this sustainable management, we can be proud of healthy old vineyards with up to 60 years old vines!
