Description
Casa De Santar Single Estate Red Wine
In 1908 the Demarcated Region of Dão was created. Located in the center of Portugal, in the province of Beira Alta, it was the first demarcated region of non-liqueur wines in the country, being known as the Portuguese, Burgundy. Dão’s wines combine perfectly with the gastronomy of the region. They have an exceptional acidity, complex and delicate aromas. Their character, complexity, balance and elegance and aging potential distinguish us from all others.
Casa de Santar spends 6 months in French oak barrels and is a blend of 50% Aragonez, 30% Touriga Nacional, 20% Alfrocheiro.
Casa De Santar Single Estate features a dark purple color with aromas of intense red fruit compote, toasted nuances and slight notes of spices. The palate is complex, well-structured, elegant and harmonious. The finish lingers, showcasing the wine’s very fine tannins.
