Carlin De Paulo Casalcomignoli Barbera D’ Asti is made in the Piedmont Region of Italy, in the province of Asti. The region of Asti features a Mediterranean climate, which is characterized by harsh winters and hot, humid summers.
The soil features limestone, clay, sandy and rich in calcium. The vines are grown 180-340 meters above sea level, ensuring that they maintain an abundant of sunlight. The vines have a nice age to them, ranging between 20-40 years old.
Carlin De Paulo Casalcomignoli Barbera D’ Asti is aged solely in temperature controlled, stainless steel tanks. This vinification method allows the fresh and fruity flavors of the Barbera to truly shine. The color is an intense ruby with purple nuances. Intense aromas of cherry, liquorice, plums, violet and blackberry jump from the glass. The palate follows the nose, showcasing the full flavors of ripe red and dark fruits with firm tannins. The finish is well balanced with lingering notes of cherry.
